i know they lost bolles in the first game. but what is the story with their defense? have they had several injuries there as well? even with bolles they would have to score a ton every game the way the D has played. i thought this might be their year (preseason) to really make some noise.

Announcers said they are really young on defense. Not sure if that happened via injury or what?

Nah central just bad. Real bad. Although they played smash mouth football like they played the end of last year. Finally 8 games into the season. Smh

Didn't kill themselves with penalties or missed assignments at least. UCM was bad on defense, though.

I believe I did. I've been wrong a LOT this year. I'm just going to go with the "if Bolles hadn't gotten hurt, the Mules would be undefeated" argument.

Very young and not very deep on defense. Add to it, they have been decimated with injuries with multiple starters out on that side of the ball. The team is lacking leadership on both sides of the ball IMO. 'Boda said on post game he needs to get the team back. It's not good when two of your captains (Miller on defense and Bolles on Offense) have played in only three quarters all year and that coming from Bolles. 'Boda said this is the first game all year the defense has been exposed like they were. While correct, the signs were there but it was mainly just giving up a few big plays a game. Today, man handled.

Expectations were extremely high for him. His injury really hurt the Mules. The offense has never recovered.

Unfortunately he will retire as head coach. The Gorillas will be a shell of what they used to be when he is done.
