  • Week 4 Discussion

    Sept 28
    Central Oklahoma @ Northwest Missouri
    Emporia State @ Lincoln
Missouri Southern @ Fort Hays State
    Missouri Western @ Northeastern State
    Pittsburg State @ Nebraska Kearney
    Washburn @ Central Missouri

Again, I see 3 good games and 3 turds.

Can the chos make it 2 in a row?
Who will win the race to place offensive football back in the stone age?
What about that passfest brewing in the moole pasture?

I don't want to mess up someone's picks because they posted them in the wrong thread.

Although that would be kind of funny.

I think the MoSo-FH game will be more competitive than the WU-UCM game.

It will be interesting to find out.

MoSo has played the 2 worst passing teams and NW who prefers to be run heavy this year so far. While Hays has played UCM, MW, and WU who all have pretty good passing games. I think Hays scores 70 on Southern and will be the best pass D they have faced yet.

Too bad it's a night game, or I might go watch it.

UNK defense really worries me. They can stop the veer and I'm afraid the Pitt stubborness to stick to it will leave it up to the Freshman QB to come in cold and bail Pitt out for the 3rd time in 4 games.

Also Pitt has enough uniforms that 2 different players don't need to be wearing #9.

I am fairly certain he could do it, though. He comes out cold each week and plays lights out. #watchoutbolles
I think our defense will be able to contain that Kearney option. If it weren't for 2 big plays, our rush defense would be right there statistically with Northwest's. The defense doesn't seem to allow those nearly as much as recent years. Which is nice.

The D is coming together. I think they have the pieces on that side to be very good by the end of the season. I worry that the time will come when the poorly run veer will dig a hole too deep for Mak to bail them out.
