It is very easy to see why the MIAA is sitting at home today.

Valdosta has an elite QB, elite OL and speed. I think they are very young on offense as well. Fun game to watch, minus the penalties.

Lots of running plays with enough passing to balance out the defence. Miaa has lost this winning formula.

Yeah. They are stacked for the next couple of years.

              True enough.
While the MIAA has slipped, it isn't dead. Remembering that quote about how, "All glory is fleeting",
I am confident the MIAA will be nationally competitive again. Probably soon.

That confidence does not apply to any contribution Pitt State may make.

What do you think an alternative coach is going to do? And who do you realistically have in mind?

Is Pitt OK with mediocrity from their academic departments?

From what I've seen come out of some departments, certainly.

                        Education come to mind?

That's much more worrisome than the football team, tbh.

I mean, all departments have their own share of bad eggs in candidates. I think the Education Departments gets plenty that they just shove through the pipeline because:
                            1. Kansas needs teachers. (#forceforgoodKS, as if its simply a PR issue)
                            2. No one wants to inform candidates that this profession is not quite suited for their personality and skill set.

Specifically, I have heard more complaints about the Chemistry department than almost anything else.

I know of one department that basically has no qualified profs, yet continues to sell credit hours to be taught by people from other departments.
