  • Offseason Stadiums thread

So it is now the 2019 offseason MIAA stadiums thread. So as usual how would you rank the conference stadiums 1-12? (Especially swapping out Lindenwood for Lincoln I wonder how/if they compare to some others in this conference) Once again when I ask this question annually I typically mean the aesthetic of the facilities. If you would like to rank atmosphere as well that would be great too.

In addition what do you think is the best and worst part of each stadium?
    Any interesting upgrades, scoreboards, chairbacks?
What would be at least one change you would like to see to some stadiums? (Other than championship banners we'd all want that.)
    Go Bronchos!

Lincoln is old, but seats several. Have not been there for a while. Do they still have that interesting real grass. From what I remember, parking is interesting.

Doc wadley isnt the newest or fanciest. But the home stand have some of the best sightlines. row 1 is 8 feet above field and less than 10 yards from field.
row 40 are all very close to the action is still close to game and is like watching a coaches game film.

I have been to 8 other d2stadiums and three d1. And none have same experience in watching a game. Imo.

And I've been at the place when there was above 8k. And it is very loud. Because both stands are very vertical . Hopefully it will be a great crowd again

Lincoln replaced the natural grass with artificial turf before the 2017 season.

The video board at Missouri Western is off the chart amazing. It's the only thing lacking at UCM's Walton Stadium...a larger video board.

I think UCM plays at MoWest this coming season. Is the Party Deck open to everyone or just members of the MW booster club?

After all the upgrades at MW Spratt Stadium I would flip these two. Spratt Stadium is newer, bigger, and better than Bearcat Stadium from a facility standpoint. The only thing that Bearcat Stadium has over Spratt is championships and higher average fan attendance, but those are not facility related. Spratt also has a 10,000 seat capacity. I see that D2 football lists it as 6000, but that is a very out of date figure before all the upgrades that have taken place over he past 10 years. The new end zone pavilion is a nice unique touch as well. Bearcat stadium is no longer in the top 3 imo.

I had to go with NW because with all the money MW spent, they still have a chain link fence around it.

I have been to all but NSU and Lincoln. UCO was quite a while ago, before they joined the league, and I remember thinking it was nice but don't remember a whole lot else about it.

I don't think there's much separating Curious' top 2 tiers, but I would agree NW doesn't belong in Tier 1 if you're going to make that distinction. MW (chain-link notwithstanding) and UCM are both better IMO.
