Hays is physical and pretty decent on D. (Brown can still scheme up a nightmare when he has to.)

I think they might be able to force more of a low scoring affair. Maybe not a true rock fight, but more of a 24 points wins it kind of deal.

Hopefully some more NW students find time in their busy day to come to the game. So far the old folks have done a pretty good job filling the west side/shady areas etc.
The days of 'Shoulder Pads Guy', 'Green Guy', 'Shirtless Bearcats' and the three NW students streaking across the length of the field at halftime with NW police in hot pursuit are over. Quite a sight. The girl was HOT! They dived under the fence at the north end of field with a get-a-way car waiting. If I remember right, one kid didn't get to the car in time and think he got caught. Crazy Good times.

It would likely be season ending for the gorillas should we be in positions to share the conference and the. Lose that game.
Pitt has been in win or die mode since they missed the FG in Edmond. NW isn't there yet. I like it that way.

So Shorb still isn’t cleared to play? He’s been suited up with a brace lately. Hope Mac’s confident he’ll be here next year.

Game has a bit of a trap game feel to it after wins over 2 good teams with NW ties and HC coming up on the 25th. As much as people want Owens to be the guy at QB, I think Mac is gonna stick with the system he's been using. Ruhnke has been struggling with really poor decisions throwing the ball all year but I think Mac would've used Shorb already if the decision hadn't been made to redshirt him.

Looks like great FB weather if forecast holds. Mac is bringing back some of the old Bearcat MoJo. Even the UCM announcers commented on the energy on the NW sideline. I doubt NW would’ve come back from a 14-0 1st Qtr deficit with Sturdy’s O.

It’s been at least 2 seasons since we’ve been excited about NW football. Kudos to Mac, his staff & the players!
