Carter scores his 4th TD of the night, an electrifying 31 yard run, set up by a good Houghtaling pass on 3rd and 10. WT 42-21.

Nice win by WT. Carter runs for 143 yards. Houghtaling finishes 17 of 21 for 187 yards and a TD with no picks. He had a couple of good passes that were interference calls as well. After Hood's "Walking Dead" performance against WNM I think they need to keep him as the starter.

The defense woke up in the 2nd half and held PB scoreless. Null was rushed hard and became less effective, but he's young. Look out for him next year.

Agreed, Houghtaling doesn't need to be an allstar, they just need to respect he can make a throw when needed. This will go along way to opening lanes for Duke hopefully. WT did good sticking to their offensive game plan and wearing down the defense in the second half.

After giving up 250 yards in the 1st half, the Buff D only allowed 42 yards in the 2nd half. WT is starting to look like a FB team. Angelo may tear them apart next week, but today and last week they did what they needed to do to win. Looking down the road, it's possible to see a win over Kingsville and maybe a chance against Eastern.

I liked Coach Hughes' comment after the game. He said the team was starting to understand what it means to be accountable to your teammates and yourself.

Add an athletic QB with some wheels and a better than average arm and the offense could really blossom.

Progress is being made.
