So, for lack of a better term, it's the Mexican equivalent of a US program's JV team. But, even though the game doesn't count in the standings, at least TAMU-C will get some valuable reps to start the season instead of an open date on Week 1.

Also more exposure for the program. In Mexico, commerce is know as the school where Luis Perez went to, he become some what famous in Mexico back, when he signed with the Rams. Because of his heritage. However due to him being release then with the whole AAF deal. And then signed and re release with the Eagles his fame has die down somewhat. But at least people in Mexico(who follows America football) know about commerce.

The Javelina's should be 3-0 when they head to Portales to play the Hounds on Sept 28th.

The odds are 1-2 going into Portales.

I hate to be full Eeyore about the Javs, but most of you have seen our performance for the balance of this decade. False starts thinking things were turning around and now almost every school save WNM has or will be doing some major capital projects to help their programs and you can see why it's hard to get excited. I hope I am very wrong and things will turn around this season and likewise our administration will finally address the other issues and give us Alums and fans a timeline of when things are going to be happening and if they really have a plan. But I am not holding out any hope it will be done in the immediate future if at all. If we are back at 5-6, 4-7 or worse at the end of this season, it might be the thing that makes me stop caring at all about the program. Never thought I'd be at that point.

Please highlight where I'm trolling but others aren't. I'm the only one between the two of us (Techster) actually posting facts. You need not agree, but what is posted is fact. This all actually started by an individual stereotyping the country of Mexico and whining about a resort he went to on vacation having armed guards outside of it. He visited their country for vacation, and then stereotypes and badmouths them, it's unbelievable. This individual's favorite vacation destination however, is an island where the natives were wiped out by diseases brought to them by European explorers.
