D2 Playoffs Pick'em: Week 4

Okay, we're down to the semi-final. To make things interesting, I'm switching to picking scores instead of picking winners. So in the form, put in the score you think each team is going to get this coming Saturday. I will then take the scores you pick for each team, and however much you're off I'll subtract from 100 for each game . As you might be able to tell, you can rack up a lot of points if you pick the scores close (up to 200 total for the week). If you're off by more than 100 for both games, I don't know what to tell ya. What this means in the end... ANYONE CAN WIN!

Shepherd will be at Mines and Western Florida will be at Ferris state.

True. Plus with increased COVID & flu cases, we are flooded and maxed out. Not even getting patient portal messages completed until 2-3 a.m. and I get up at 4 a.m. So, haven't had time.

Managed to avoid catching Covid for 2.5 years, then got it the first week of the playoffs. Was fortunate it wasn’t that bad for me.

Very glad you had a mild case. Were you vaxed & boosted?

What we are finding is how many new health issues are arising in people who had COVID. Even those with very mild cases. Virises are cruel "beasts".

I had the series of three Pfizer vaccines and caught it before I was thinking of doing the new one. Doctor says I'll have 3-4 months of immunity now and then I can consider getting it. Weird thing was that my wife caught it a couple months before I did and I didn't get it, and she didn't get it when I caught it.

One thing I noticed when I was ill was that some symptoms were really stubborn. I didn't have any lung issues but I think my ear canals were filled with fluid and was giving me dizziness, even when laying flat in bed. That was the toughest thing for me.

So much for “defense wins championships”.

Back when I had cable I watched Grand Valley win 2 consecutive titles, both over Northwest Missouri by the scores of 21-17 and 17-14. Those were really tight games and fun to watch. Now Grand Valley just wins the Whatchamacallit award. Oh they do have a good softball team though.

i won’t be able to watch the championship this year. Even yesterday while on a ship with ESPN and espn2 all they had on was basketball. 🤢🤢🤮
