Craig Fenn, LSC analyst, picked Western by 7. I think that's a pretty fair guess. It's early for a new coaching staff and team to get on the same page. It might take three or four games for the Buffs to begin cooking.

I have just studied our new starting QB's stats. In 2 years he is 0 for 4 passing, and has a negative rushing average. Based on this, I am predicting WT wins tomorrow by only 13!

It's actually Kanon Gibson, but I am hoping his arm is like a cannon. Interesting that he's number 2 ahead of the NM State transfer, Weston Eget. We might see Kanon if things aren't working with Kyle Brown at the helm.

I was but I wasn't surprised to see Gibson at the #2. The 3rd practice I went to.......after practice, Coach Lynn caught me in my van parked just outside the practice field. We chatted for 10 minutes. Talking about the QB battle, he said that the kid from Wink was having a great camp. At the time I dismissed it. I didn't think he'd go with a freshman at the #2. I guess the kid won the spot after all.

If the kid is the deal, is something like that (young solid QB) what WT needs to get jump started again? Seems like poor QB play (among poor coaching) has been a constant since they bid adieu to Don?

If they utilize Kanon Gibson this season, I believe it will be in the option run game. The two times I watched practice, he had tendency to tuck and run quickly but did great in the open field. I see him being used as a runner

I'm absolutely loving that the scoreboard overlay on stream has the elevation on it but not the game clock. I'm much more informed that game site it at 7,723 ft above sea level instead of how much time is left in the game in 4th quarter

The posters that pointed out Lynn's new teams are slow starters were right on. The defense played well after the first quarter until they gave up a long pass that led to another TD late in the game.

The Buffs QBs were lame though Kanon started really strong. I thought the coaching was below par with Lynn going for it WAY too many times on 4th down. Evidently coffin corner punts don't interest him, he would rather try a 57 yard FG twice.

WT had a good effort rushing by McCoy-Gay but he wasn't used very much. No one else looked half as good.

Losing 28-6 against WCU is an embarrassment. Yawn, yawn, YAWN.

Yes it was an amateurish production with the camera operator losing sight of the ball frequently and that stupid screen you liked completely covering up a field goal attempt. It will be comparable next week in Canyon.
