You can watch it on Flosports anytime. The second game was such a blowout, I fell asleep. Later I saw what Sharp and Guzman had done in the circle, so I replayed that part of the game.. It's worth a look.

Sharp has some skills, but Guzman pitched better. No telling if we will see either very often, except maybe for relief in a blowout.

Yeah, I know. I have the annual Flosports subscription. Watched or rewatched various contests. Just not SR. Been busy, busy.

        • If you were expecting to see WT play today - they played yesterday, probably due to weather. They used Facebook to notify fans, but the notice didn't appear in my feed until last night.

The Lady Buffs again won all 4 games this weekend. St Edwards is not that great of a team, but St Mary's was 10-4 in conference before playing us. The scores were all blowouts, with both visiting teams combining for just 3 runs.

WT has not lost since the second OCU game, and I noticed the batting average for OCU is actually higher for conference-only games than the full season. In the 2 games we played them we could not stop their hitters and managed to outscore them to win the first game of the double header.

I think OCU, ASU, Tyler, and WT will have some great games. I don't see anyone else in the conference playing as well as these 4 teams.

          • I think it's premature, but WT now owns the #1 ranking in D2 softball.

            https://nfca.org/component/com_nfca/...5,1/year,2026/

2 of our players moved to Tyler in the offseason. One moved from Tyler to WT.

The players that left are not having very good seasons, compared to their stats when at WT.. The new WT player, Jordyn De Los Santos, was batting .286 last year with Tyler. This year she leads the Lady Buffs in home runs and has a .527 batting average. She has the highest number of at bats on the team.

It this because of Coach Mook's excellent coaching? I think so.

            • WT swept LCU this afternoon in a hot one - 95 degrees. Both games were run ruled. I wish I had seen more of the first one, as by the time they got the streaming online it was 9-0. I had to turn it off because the quality was absolutely horrible. I called Flosports and got a recording that said they don't do phone support right now, so I emailed them. I got an autoreply that said they would look at the problem within 24 hours! Much later I did get an email from a person who said they had contacted the production team.

I did watch all of the second game, and the streaming was fine. Coach Mook challenged a call at the plate, probably complaining it was catcher interference. However, whether it was that play or the very next one, Mook was ejected from the game. After watching one of our previous coaches blow up frequently, I was shocked that mild mannered Coach Mook was given the thumb.

Our starting pitcher in the second game ran into trouble, so the starter from the first game came back and saved the game. It also helps that the batters are really hitting well, which covers up some less than ideal pitching.

Our pitching won't cut it come playoff time.

I’m hoping they improve a lot in the next month.

                  • The former #1 Lady Buffs were swept yesterday by Tyler, losing by the run rule in game 1. All 3 pitchers were ineffective. Defense was sloppy allowing 4 unearned runs.

In the second game, former Lady Buff Selitzky shut out her former team 2-0. At least it was a close game.

                    • I have watched much more of WT Baseball than softbslll and they both have the same problem: lack of pitching. IMO, Lady Buffs are lucky to have as good a record as they do.

Like I said. When we went up against a "good" team, our pitching wouldn't cut it. I bet Mook picks up a top notch one for next year. Lady Buffs'll still win 45 or more, I bet. A down year.
