Honestly I think you could throw the top half of the LSC in a hat and pick out a winner.

The top teams seem to have a lost a lot at the skill level positions and Midwestern will have a new head coach and philosophy.

I think the bottom half is the same way, though I think it's safe to bet that WT will be able to overcome WNMU and Sul Ross. I don't expect too many other conference wins.

I think we learned last year that having a new coach can produce results at both ends of the spectrum, e.g., UTPB and WT.

Yeah but slightly stronger. They did play Western New Mexico competitive last year and Kingsville the year before that I believe.

Obvious advantage is in state recruiting in Texas if you get the right coaching personnel in there to do it.

Yeah I have been looking out for theirs as well.

I looked at the FCS schedules this side of the Mississippi and most of them have been posted.

I think CW's best bet is to schedule a game with Mesa and then go FCS for the other.

As far as I can tell, the teams in the Big Sky, MVFC, Southland, and UAC all have their 2024 schedules finalized. Not sure CWU would go out much further than that. San Diego still hasn't posted theirs, but I don't know if Pioneer League schools give out as big of a check to D2 schools as other FCS teams do. CWU might have to play another NAIA squad this season... At least they have a big game against Montana for 2025.
