Also UTPB has more difficult games on the road this year (Pueblo, WT, MSU, CW).

It didnt bother them with Angelo but those West Coast road trips with CW bringing back a lot.

Just do a google search for MSU. Several colleges come up. Michigan State, Missouri State, Montana State, Minot State for starters.

Good find. They also could follow Texas A&M Commerce at Dallas's lead and do something like Texas Tech Lubbock at Wichita Falls.

I'm not sure how they named it "Midwestern" anyway. I wouldn't consider any part of Texas to be Midwest, except for perhaps the top half of the panhandle.

They lost that one because the team gave up on Hughes. Without that loss Hughes probably wouldn’t have been fired so I’ll always be grateful to Simon Fraser.

ASU is often confused with Arizona State, There are numerous ASUs around.

ASU has actually played against Arizona State once that I know of. I believe it was 1985 or 86.

So West Texas should have been North Texas. I suppose WTAMU could go with North Texas A&M and be a lot more accurate. Or even Panhandle State. The ones that really confuse me are California PA and Indiana PA.

Same for University of South Florida being in Tampa, which lies in the middle of the state on the Gulf Coast. Looking at the Florida peninsula both Orlando and Tampa are middle of the state. What is more accurate is that the area of South Florida is more in common with a line running from Ft. Myers on the Gulf to West Palm Beach on the Atlantic and thereabouts, but not up at Tampa.

It is not as if the school was founded at a time when populated Florida was only down to around the Tampa area, oh no... as USF was founded in 1956 when that area was definately not in the southern reaches of Florida!

I drove by there last month when visiting family in the Branson area. I joke with friends here in South Florida that we took a leisurely drive out from Branson and had lunch in Miami, dinner in Pittsburg and then drove back through Joplin and Springfield to head back to Branson to finish out the day.

For those not in the know..... left SW Missouri and drove over into Oklahoma (Miami) and then into Kansas (Pittsburgh) and then back to Missouri. It was a fun day. Should you ever find yourself in Miami Oklahoma and want a trip back into nostalgia, eat at Waylan's Hamburgers, the Ku-Ku. Great prices, best onion rings (according to my son) and everything is cooked to order so the wait from order to receipt of the food is quite long.

Yep…SF’s D3 level skill players were running circles around WT when they had no business doing so.

Well, PA also has towns called Dallas, Denver, and Mexico. No colleges in those towns, as far as I know.

I don't think this is accurate.
Out of curiosity, I checked Arizona State's football history.

Agreed. They played Northern Arizona in 1986 but not Arizona State.
