LSC Pick'em: Week 8

Yes, it will be interesting to see what WOU really has. I have to admit I really admire them, they don't have a big budget but they play tough.

I think Texcap has a crystal ball tuned for D2.

Ever since I started following CWU football, WOU has played like that. They've just never been able to get over the top. They're always good for a stupid penalty or two that ends up costing them, but they play tough football.

I picked CWU since I think they are slightly better overall, but I can see them being DOA if they can’t run it at least a little bit.

Just a little tidbit that goes along with week 8. This is a traveling trophy that will go home with the winner of the Sul Ross Western New Mexico game each year. The top is 36"x36" and the base is American Walnut measuring 18" x 36" X 12" H. Several local businesses contributed to this project.

We went to the sawmill in Mertzon to see if they had enough mesquite but they did not. We did have to special order the lumber to get a wide enough lumber. Good lumber has become scarce since Covid.

Thanks. I changed strategies. Instead of picking winners based on my evaluation of football skill of each team, I chose winners based on who has the prettiest uniforms.
