Originally posted by Jayman View PostWT had their typical Q1 start. Offense was completely ineffective and were down 13-5 at the end of the quarter. While I am not a fan of Coach Prock, turning this game around and beating a 3 seed with a 24-4 record (20-2 in LSC) is a noteworthy accomplishment.
Next up tomorrow will be the winner of LCU vs UCCS.
Were their injuries involved?
Great win by WT and good luck next round.

Lady Buffs upset UT-Tyler. Sadly, Prock just secured his job at WT for another year.

The results since he has been at WT have been way under the typical performance line. Allegedly a super nice guy, though. I predict it will be his last game at WT.

Men: #7 WT (29-11) vs. #2 Colorado Mines (27-4)
Personally WT women are overseeded and probably could have made a case for Kingsville making the tournament over WT.
This also means get used to Prock for another year.

That UCCS upset of Adams State opened the door for Western to make the RMAC finals which should help.
Adams, Pueblo, ENMU, and WT losing helps you cause.
Kingsville I would assume is around Western in the 11-12 range and they have the biggest upset so for with beating Tyler yesterday.
Looking at things at face value, it would probably be helpful if Black Hills State beats Mesa so its a Western/Black Hills State final matchup.

WT men come back from an early 14 point deficit to blow out and upset Midwestern State 70-57.
WT made their first 19 FT and finished 21-24 from the FT line.
That should punch their ticket to regionals.
