I heard that a while back. Good to hear. There always seems to be a pretty good #8 team that misses out every year and often is a snub.

      I agree on both counts.

I am in favor of it. Now the LSC might get two teams in. Now we can b!tch about the 9th team not having the strongest SOS to get in.

So studying this more I like it even more. Each conference champion gets an auto bid so a team like Angelo State can schedule tough non conference games without having to sweat losing a conference game missing the playoffs with 3 losses. No more earned access BS. It also takes away the extra week rust argument/excuse. If the team is great enough, they could strategically use the last game to rest starters if the team is weak enough. Also the reorganization of regions (LSC, MIAA, GAC, RMAC) should cut down on playoff plane trips by a lot and possibly zero plane trips at all if teams like Central Washington and Kingsville miss the playoffs. I dont think there will be enough of a drop off between the 7th and 8th seed to make much difference. Going to be tough for the LSC but like this playoff change and reorganization change more than I have anything else in a long time.

Good News for the LSC: another team might get into the playoffs
Bad News for the LSC: your going to get your arse kicked by whoever you play

Hoping LSC and MIAA can schedule more games in future years and maybe the GAC will end the silo?

Yeah I see more MIAA and LSC scheduling alliances in the future now that we are all in the same region.

The RMAC (Pueblo and Mines) are going that route for sure this year with the MIAA.

I dont see the GAC ever ending their silo unless that rumor regarding an all Oklahoma conference comes true. They want to save money.
