It has grown nearly 400% since 2005 and has about 1200 majors now. And roughly 50% are from out-of-state! WT Ag is now recognized as one of the premier collegiate ag programs in the country especially among non land grant colleges. It’s growth has been fueled by amazing, state of the art facilities, a dynamic faculty and energetic & continuous student recruitment across the entire U.S. About 85% of prospective students that visit actually enroll. This recruitment is funded by the WT Ag Development Association which is a support organization that provides funds solely for student recruitment. To say it has been success is a huge understatement. WT is definitely a destination institution for anyone wanting to major in agriculture.
Lady Buff BB has a 6'4 recruit, who fielded multiple D1 offers (including U of Minn). Word is she really wanted to go to Okie State, she's from OK, but they didn't offer. She chose WT because of the Ag dept.

Excellent point about the Tyler Longview area. Not only does UT Tyler not have football neither does Tyler Jr College

I guess Kilgore pulls the weight for them in JC

Shows you how much I keep up with Jr College football

I have no idea how many jr colleges have a program

the only reason I know about Kilgore is because they offered me a scholarship to play there
