    Tanner Volk Signs "Future" Contract in CFL

    Tanner Volk signed something called a Future contract with the BC Lions. I'm not sure exactly what this means. Maybe he's going to try the UFL in the spring and if that doesn't work then he may play for the Lions. But I guess when he's ready to go play in the CFL, it will be for the Lions. He could definitely follow in the footsteps of Adam Bighill and be the CFL great

      According to Google, the future contract is when a team signs a player with the intention of not using them for the current season but for next season. So they essentially signed Tanner Volk for next season but not this season.
