Colorado School of Mines Jumps Two Places in AFCA Division II Coaches Poll

Colorado School of Mines dominated conference rival and then-No. 24 ranked Colorado Mesa in a 72-31 victory to move the Orediggers up two places in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll to No. 12. Next up on the schedule for the Colorado School of Mines is a road game against Western State (Colo.).

The Top 5 has a new look this week after then-No. 2 Indiana (Pa.) lost to California (Pa.) 36-24, dropping the Crimson Hawks to No. 14. Minnesota State still sits at No. 1 with 28 first-place votes, but they are followed by Grand Valley State (Mich.), Ferris State (Mich.), Midwestern State (Texas) and West Georgia.

West Alabama and Colorado Mesa dropped out of the Top 25 this week, making room for two new teams to enter. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) re-enters the poll at No. 24 after a one-week layoff, while No. 23 Kutztown (Pa.) makes an appearance for the first time since Sept. 10, 2012, when the Golden Bears were ranked No. 21. Next week, Azusa Pacific hosts one of the many Top 25 matchups, an important conference game, as they host No. 25 Central Washington.
