      That's terrible, he was only 22. My condolences to his family, friends and the UMD community. Rest in peace Reed.

            Very tragic.

            I read this morning he had a previously undetected heart condition. The article mentioned the family thanked the UMD staff for the way they handled the situation.

              Kareem Abdul Jabbar has been in a lot of ads for a-fib. Throughout my life I could sometimes run a mile and not have problems, other days lift bales and be short of breath. Never smoked. Finally in 2004 had two procedures to fix it- first one didn't work. I found out it was much more common that I thought. I had worn heart monitors several times and nothing ever showed up. Lucky I was in the hospital when it finally did.
