Sioux Falls live Matt Zimmer did a nice article on Vikings outlook for this season. Coach OJ said the O-line is his biggest concern as 3 excellent linemen have graduated. There is a big12 transfer portal guard addition from U of Houston named Kaleb Davis.

The other big change is at quarterback. 2 names are getting reps. Thomas Scholten and Gunnar Hensley. OJ said he has no problem playing both until it sorts itself out. These are my opinions: 1 excellent lineman and 2 decent ones and just because you are a D1 transfer doesn't mean that you are always a great D2 player. Zimm is right Gunnar has a way higher upside.

My understanding is he got a medical for 2022. Only played in the first 3 games that year.

Thats my understanding as well on Ep. I have been waiting for Gunnar to get a shot. I think he will be alright as long as he is allowed to make some mistakes for growth. As far as the line goes, I think they put on some size and strength this summer and if they can get consistent reps together they are gonna be just fine. Not asking for another Conference Championship, just want to see a reload instead of a reset.

Wish I knew more about O-line situation. I'm assuming James, Wagner, Wilson, Wirkus and Roots are in line for starting. There is some outstanding under classmen on the roster, wonder if Big12 transfer will contribute. Much to be decided.

I say it because it's my opinion! You can have your opinion and you can say whoever you want!

Our o-line isn't going to be as bad as you think either.

First group after two day has been LT: Roots LG: James C: Wilson RG: Fox RT: Kellogg, Wirkus & Wager (have taken reps). Davis has taken reps at RG with second group. I would presume one of those guys gets moved from RT and I would think Wirkus or Wagner would also be the backup LT. I heard a couple of last years redshirts aren't looking too bad.
