Congrats to Northern State. When my team Winona went ahead 21-17, I thought it was over. After losing the momentum, they drove down the field and got 2 more touchdowns. Winona just can't put it all together in a game. They show flashes of a good team, then something falls apart. Northern has a nice campus, town and an amazing stadium. They have alot going for it and should be a good spot to build a winner.

Mavs are not without their challenges though. Another two failed extra point tries yesterday.Originally posted by 4THEPAW View PostFeels like through week 4, Mankato is the clear #1 in the league, followed by probably Bemidji and Wayne. But man there are some fun teams in the league this year that can beat anyone on any given night. Shaping up to be a fun season!

1.18 yards per play yesterday. Ouch. The couple times I switched on their games they look small and slow.Originally posted by debergfan
Southwest might be worse than any of the recent upper Iowa and crookston teams. I really did think underwood would move onto big and better things, years ago at scsu. I was wrong.Last edited by Purple Mav Man; 09-29-2024, 08:20 AM.

Plenty to tighten up. Hopefully they can get special teams figured out before it’s too late. That part of the game has been a struggle all season. Special teams mistakes allowed NW Missouri back into the game, gave Wayne an easy TD and cost points elsewhere as well.Originally posted by njmav1 View Post

This sounds like a great idea for a Saturday Night Live skit.Originally posted by NSU4LIFE View PostIf Garrison Keillor added a character who grew up grew up playing no sports but later in life got stuck in Lake Wobegon, became the 1200am-300am host who gave late night relationship advice between playing old jazz records, despite never being in a relationship, only to one day be thrust into covering a local sports contest due to lack of employees....that is what you'd get.
