    [QUOTE=Thunder;n911734]

I can only assume Augie played a ton of guys and probably played an incredibly vanilla defense today.

Clearly Augustana the better team and their backup QB did a good job running and throwing the ball only had one poor/mistake throw (Int). I don’t know- but doubt Angie was playing backups when the score was 14-9. Again, Angie is a very talented, explosive & athletic team- they deserve almost all of the credit today.

Mustangs have shown some offensive improvement over the last few weeks. Turnover on kick return seemed to really put the game out of reach.

Mustang QB threw for 146 yards late first quarter or early second —- ended the game throwing for 453 yards and 3 TDs. Play to win the game; but you have to recognize areas when there is improvement.

Too easy to pile on when things are going bad; just like it’s easy to jump on the bandwagon when things are going well (general football statement).

Congrats to Wayne. That was an impressive win. Started watching at the start of the fourth quarter and had to put my glasses on to make sure I was reading the score correctly on my phone:)

Talked to a friend of mine who knows Northern football pretty well. Evidently, Northern is pretty thin in the secondary due to a few season ending injuries. His advice was “take the over…it’s going to be a track meet and the last team with the ball will probably win.”

I know Crowton has struggled with interceptions this season. His OC called a great game mitigating some of the blitzes, he was harassed much of the day and delivered chunk yards, while he was sacked 5-6 times he bounced up and went again.

Vikings had a balanced offensive day, 242 receiving yards, 208 rushing yards. Mustangs threw for 453 yards, ran for 11 yards. AU ran 170 KO yards. Final AU 57. SMSU 29.

Yeah - that was what was most exciting to me. I mean, I know it's a moot point as he's done after this year, but I really like it when guys aren't giving up on themselves or their team regardless of outcome.

I think it's the most pass yards since 2018 or 2019.

What a garbage call....followed by a garbage review.

Can't be fumbling in the redzone to begin with. But once again, replay still doesn't help get calls correct.

In this age of colorful first names Macloud Crowton is unique. It's a shame that he runs out eligibility as he tossed for 453 yards against a good Viking defense. Watching game, l felt SMSU isn't that far off from being decent team. Hope they get there.

Yeah it's quite the name! Sounds like a tech mogul or something haha.

Hope so - the key is going to be getting guys to buy in, and that's a lot harder than it sounds. Congrats on a solid road win.

I'll probably be at KO for MSU duty in a couple weeks. Looking forward to the visit.

Moorhead and Northern is the track meet predicted. Last team to have the ball might just win.

Moorhead throwing every play instead of trying to run clock is certainly a choice...... I'm not complaining though!

Regardless of outcome, what a game at The Bank. Matt Witwicki is going to have a late night unless we venmo to pay for his night stay.

About as important as my weather updates, but whats up with all the mouth guards on the field? I cant imagine playing without one, but if you got it, you'd hate to lose it.

Horrible decision by Steve Laqua. Shows again that he can't win a big game. Apparently this is the ceiling, even with the supposed best quarterback in program history we can only go 7-4 at best.

Great game from Northern and MSU. Gutsy comeback by Northern. They showed grit with all those injuries

What a game. That was worth watching. Great effort by both teams. Thought they’d go for 2 but thought they had about a 90 percent chance of converting it.

Had we lost, most of us would have said almost the same thing. It's fun that we are both playing well as I don't remember Moorhead/NSU games meaning much in the past.

Wolves still have a tall order to make postseason, but a fun, entertaining game, with almost 1,200 yards of offense.

I don't like Moorhead, never will, and i dont really like Steand, but I'd be shocked if he, at minimum, doesn't make and NFL practice squad. He is great, still has room for growth, but you can see that he has the look of a true QB.

Regardless of throws the Dragon WR came up with some amazing grabs. We are both on the level of up and coming but still not quite there.
