  • Dakota State - NSIC

It's only a matter of time. The only public school in South Dakota that isn't DII already. Massive improvement in facilities over the last couple years with a new fieldhouse/gym on the way. Book it. Done.

Dan- I've been there, nice school within the footprint. But will they wait until A. Another school is added to keep the schedule even or B. Replace a school that would be leaving?

Aren't they getting a new basketball arena at some point too? Everything they've done in the last five years has been impressive.

I visited their new stadium on opening night and had a blast.

This chat has been going over here: Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

Welcome Trojans, good to have you! #AllAreWelcome

Absolutely, only a matter of time. In time, we'll lose some bigger or more funded schools, we'll keep back filling with other that are atleast invested in their programs.

Nit to mention the eventual break of power D1s and non-power D1s lots of movement left tohappen.

Just wondering when we'll get USD-Springfield back

Well, they've already made two Longest Yard movies- why not a third?

You bet. I've got family down there in Bon Homme County and visit a few times a year. Lots of Tjeerdsmas around.

USD/Springfield will be back the same time Yankton College, Huron College, Westmar, and Presentation College will. #RIP

Maybe there are enough inmates that want to get college credits/degree? Start up a few varsity programs and apply for D-II membership.

One college in SD had their police chief arrested, their equestrian coach arrested, and a contingent of their senior class investigated for hate crimes all within a few months of each other. They might have it covered, who knows.
