The WCHA Women's League has delayed the start of the season as well (all D-I conferences in men's and women's hockey have).

Rumor is that NCAA hockey will be delayed until January 1 with the National Tournament completing Memorial Day weekend.

For now. But without a conference home, I cannot see them lasting much more than a year as an independent.......
