  • OT- Fort Lewis wins the RMAC tournament over Mesa

With the win in Grand Junction tonight and losses of West Texas A&M and Dallas Baptist in the LSC tournament, FLC should host regionals for the first time in program history. A repeat of last year's decision would be awful for the conference, as well as for Durango/FLC.

Absolute joke NCAA. Reward a 1 seed for getting knocked out by the 8 seed, and losing their season finale.

I agree. This is a huge surprise and a real downer for FLC. How much of this do you think Canyon's "central" location plays into this? The longest drive is Grand Junction and it is under 600 miles.

It shouldn't have been a surprise. West Texas A&M is slightly better in both metrics and Fort Lewis has a worse loss.

Completey unacceptable and a conflict of interest that the WTAMU AD is the chairmen of the region selection commitee. If its not a fair selection process move the hosting sites to neutral sites.

He was last year, but is no longer on the committee (the manual incorrectly shows last year's national committee roster). The regional committee consists of the Colorado Mines head coach (chairman), the Colorado Christian associate AD, the Dallas Baptist head coach, and the Midwestern State AD.

WT has 3 starters graduating from their final 4 run so unless they hit big in the portal that may not be an issue next year.

That being said if Ft. Lewis goes 35-0 next year and a 28-7 LSC team hosts then you will have some questions....

D2 is becoming glorified Juco for the top players. All the best for the players. Fort Lewis and Mesa will need to reload as well.
