Really great weekend of games! The RMAC git quite a few decent Lone Star matchups. I think Mines may trend less dominant this year with something closer to their West Texas game from 3 years ago. I do hope Adams can get a win, it would be their first non-FLC dub in a little while :(
Adams won 3 games last year, and I'm checking my records, but don't believe they played FLC three times...

I have been a pretty staunch defender that there is no reason to believe FLC will win this year, based on years of recent experience. To be clear, I am still low on them.

But Chadron... yikes. I might give FLC the nod in a matchup right now. For the guys on this board who have been screaming that change is needed, it looks like this year may provide the clear impetus for that to happen.

This could be the year that Ft Lewis is replaced by Chadron as the bottom dweller. OUCH!

There was a time when Jamestown was a top team in the old Dakota Athletic Conference. Threw the ball a lot and were in the mix for playoff bids often. I see last year they went 2 and 9. Definitely not a good performance by CSC.

A ams state losing to Western NM. Come on FT. Lewis. This is your year to win a game. Ya notice the "d' was missing again.

Was really impressed with Pueblo, the penalties were used by the weekly D2 podcast guys as a negative but none menitioned how impressive it was to dismantle UTPB while having to deal with 20 penalties for 200 yards. No idea if the officiating crew wanted a close game or what but many of those penalties seemed to come when Pueblo was comfortably ahead, without such a crazy amount of flags who knows how many points they'd have put up.

Didn't get to watch Western, why did they end up struggling at home with a team like Midwestern? I picked it to be closer than the spread but am a bit surprised still,

I agree about CSUP. I thought they were an upper RMAC team, but not much more. GVSU will really give us a pulse on this team, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how they handled business against UTPB! I discredited SDM in week 0, more than crediting CSUP, but SDM came out in week 1 and looked significantly better - showing that it was more likely Pueblo making them look so pedestrian.

I watched parts of the Western game, and I just haven't been super impressed by MWS, but they hung around and Western put the game away when they could. In fact, better play calling at the end could have made this one an upset (or play execution perhaps).

It's still early, but I think my adjusted "power rankings" for the RMAC might be

                        1. CSUP
                        2. CSM
                        3. Western
                        4. the rest of them...

CSUP has looked very good but until they beat Mines I can't put them at #1. Also a bit concerning that Khian Martinez seems to not be available to give the backfield the usual depth CSUP has.

GV is obviously a different animal, will be an extremely tough test for Pueblo but hopefully they can hold their own up front and make a game of it.
