After week 7 games, I count 14 teams with 2 D2 losses or fewer that are still in the running for the playoffs.
In order of record, not a regional rankings guess:
1) Western Colorado (6-0)
2) Western Oregon (4-0)
3) Minnesota State (6-1)
4) Colorado State Pueblo (6-1)
5) Colorado Mines (5-1)
6) Wayne State (5-1)
7) Central Washington (4-1)
8) Augustana (4-1)
9) Sioux Falls (5-2)
10) Angelo State (4-2)
11) Texas A&M-Kingsville (4-2)
12) Colorado Mesa (4-2)
13) Bemidji State (4-2)
14) Black Hills State (3-2)
Observations:
Angelo State "could" make it with 3 losses with a high SOS if they only lose to Central Washington.
Western Oregon likely drops several places if/when they lose their first game.
