My update says that the Beavers score in the second OT and win 3-2, :crying:
:victory:
It was as close as I thought it would be. Mankato scores first, BSU scores the next two, Mankato scores in the 87th minute to tie, BSU scores in the 105th minute to win.
Sometimes you have to remember that there are more important things than games. The Bethel women's soccer team was also involved in a car crash that left two people in the car that collided with their bus dead.

I don't really follow soccer that closely, so I have a question.
Was BSU's success this year expected, or did it kind of come from nowhere?
Either way, big props to them for doing so well.
It was somewhat expected, but I don't think to this degree. They had a great year last year losing in the Central Regional in a shootout after a 0-0 tie. They lost some key players, but the players returning and some of the Freshmen have really step up and filled those spots. It is a long way from 10 years ago when the head coach would walk the halls of the dorms and knock on doors trying to find someone, anyone, that had played soccer in the past and would come out for the team.
