Curious why most everyone is choosing MC over CALU despite the fact that the VULCANS won convincingly at home and have much more to play for than do the LAKERS.

My opinion is Mercyhurst is just a better (deeper) team. This is still a real big game for them, too. If they can avoid getting in the 4-5 game in the PSAC Tournament they can avoid IUP (at the KCAC), too. They mainly want to assure themselves of a home game this coming Monday night in Round 1.

Cal also hasn't played in a big 'pressure game' for some time. I'm not sure how they'll react. Historically, the Lakers are tough at home in February.

That's my reasoning ... for whatever that's worth.

In many ways, Wednesday is the unofficial Round 1 of the PSAC Tournament.

Along these same lines, I really like Seton Hill to beat UPJ on Wednesday. They'll have that stuffy, cramped (loud) gym packed and amped up.
