While watching the Mav-Dragon women's game, they cut to the UMD at Augie ending. Unfortunately, they had to cut back home before the last five seconds. Heck of a buzzer beater by Augie. That was like old times seeing them play at Elmen.

I love that MSUM's broadcast does those quick cutaways during timeouts. And yes, what a shot! What a fun upset.Originally posted by laker View PostWhile watching the Mav-Dragon women's game, they cut to the UMD at Augie ending. Cody's crew found two different ways to win this weekend and stretched their run to six straight Ws.
Friday night the Vikings couldn't get any consistent looks vs the Beavers 3/4 trap and defensively they could not keep Shannon or Josephson out of the paint. But over the final 335 they got two pick 6s by Sam Rensch, a three and some FTs from Hinker, a three point play from Tam, and two FTs from Tanner to slide past Boschee's Beavers. Theres no groundbreaking analysis to justify how you win a game where you attempt nine fewer FGs and get out rebounded by 16 but life finds a way.
Saturday started with visual confirmation of the NSIC's amazing coaching chia pet and ended with him getting a tech arguing with the refs who earlier that half had called 8 fouls on Augustana and only 1 on the Bulldogs. Augustana's offensive execution, especially in the 2nd half, was ruthless against the Bulldogs. Games like yesterday are the reason I ramble so much about Tanner TeSlaa's 3 point shooting, when the dam opens up this offense is multi dimensional instead of seeing how many difficult shots Tam can make or create in 40 minutes.

Same could be said for all conference teams. Like the Mustangs couldn't replace Braaten, the Vikings would be really hurting without Tameron Ferguson.Originally posted by NSICHoops View PostDoes Augie have the depth? After their top 4 it gets a little dicey for me. Hinker misses essentially 3 games and they immediately go 0-3.

Stanger86 with the best sand bagging we will see until May when men's league golf starts again. Bigler is the best coach in the conference outside of Margs, he will have them ready and I just saw all this defensive player of year stuff for you guys. You got the horses, lets not act like the conference doesn't run through you.Originally posted by vikingfaithful View Post

Augie was 8-43 from 3 in the two NSIC games Hink missed, the space wasn't spacing and the math wasn't mathing.Originally posted by NSICHoops View PostDoes Augie have the depth? After their top 4 it gets a little dicey for me. Hinker misses essentially 3 games and they immediately go 0-3.
