This week's conference games are really spread out. One game Friday, five games Saturday, and three more games next Tuesday.

I have no idea why the MSU women are playing Friday night and the MSU men are playing Saturday afternoon. For those of us coming from a long ways that is a pain in the rear end.

Only explanation I can think of is to give CSP women an extra day before their game against Palm Beach Atlantic. But that shouldn't be an issue for NSIC teams

          Friday: CSP vs MSU
          Monday: Palm Beach at CSP
          Tuesday: Palm Beach at MSU

MSU men have a game at noon that Tuesday, then the women play at 2:00. Seems kind of odd instead of playing them at night. For all I know we could have snow that day and I'll stay home. Another odd scheduling.

Maybe someone had a wedding to attend?

This past weekend, I switched between watching hockey and basketball. Got to see long stretches of both, but not the whole game for either. With the Lake State game pretty much in hand by the late second period/early third, I switched to the basketball game- much more exciting than the blow out at the Soo.

For Maverick fans/alumni in the hinterlands, the schedule is not such a pain :)

I'm waiting for volunteers to hoist the flag each week at GameDay like Wazzu does.
