Any beer cans, soda cups or food containers dropped on the floor Thursday or Friday (at least upstairs) were still there Saturday night. That trash was cleaned up before Sunday's games.

They ran out of pop corn on Saturday night I guess because they didn't have any on Sunday. Whoever heard of a championship sporting event without pop corn?

I'm not going to give them any grief for the stats section of the scoreboards. It seems they could have gotten the boards fixed but it's better to turn the stats off than to leave them up and never change the numbers (which was happening Saturday afternoon).

Anyone want to place bets on whether the Sprint Center will have any of these issues for the Big 12 this week? Serioiusly, if the folks in KC don't care enough to clean up, the MIAA should try to move the Independence Events Center. It's a better arena and free parking.
Was also irritating that the MIAA didn't have the program online as of Thursday morning, then were "giving away" roster sheets for a donation. And on Friday, the roster sheets had the UCO women's roster, instead of the mens. Not a well run tourney this year.

We always park across the street west of Broadway at the Calvary & Trinity Church....only a block away and money goes to a good cause

Food and trash issues happen at Royals and Chiefs games frequently. We haven't ventured upstairs in many years.

I don't think Independence is better. The arena is much newer (when built) but once you get inside I think it looks and feels cheap and worn. The parking situation is an absolute hassle downtown and is really my only negative for the Muni. But once you have been there a number of years you figure out your options. Arrive early and stay patient.

How much of your experience was affected by the rest of the conference keeping the moole(s) down? ;)
I think it more to do with walking through part of the ceiling each day than Central's performance. The Mule outcome was expected. I think most now agree the February Mules just weren't a good team.

We have always parked south of the interstate (usually for free) and walked further. We like to sit close to mid court and don't want to move between games so we have always sat upstairs. We also just take the ramps to the top and then walk down the stairs to whatever seats we choose. Anyone who did that on the east side, or climbed the stairs to use the top bathrooms (never a crowd) probably walked through the part of the ceiling that fell before Thursday night (probably before the tournament). The folks in charge of the building didn't care. We all know they have brooms and the ushers knew about the problem because they were constantly coming up to make kids that what to sit up there move (unless a parent sits with them).

You say you have, but I have never walked into Kaufman and found all of last night's trash still in the seating area. Northwest played Friday night (I'm saying they brought the most fans not that Northwest fans are slobs) and the area we sit in was full of thash when we got there Saturday morning. I don't recall that happening before.

The pop corn thing was mostly a joke but it does demonstrate how little they cared about the MIAA. I don't mind going to Municipal. I only mentioned the Ind Events Ctr because it's local and they only way the MIAA can force the Municipal people to care is make them think about the loss of income.
