    Three times in four years.
2014 - lost 70-67 to Concordia-St. Paul at Harding in front of 324 people
2016 - lost 78-74 at Pitt State in front of 2891 people
2017 - lost 58-56 at Harding in front of 2850 people

We tried to host both tournaments in 2000 but in the HS semifinals we had an overtime game and a kid broke his leg so the final game that was scheduled to start at 9 pm ended up starting at 10:30 I think. Of course we still had 3823 show up for the Lady Hornets 78-66 win over Mo. Western. But that wasn't a "Championship Environment" and we were put on probation that said we could not host the next time we were the #1 seed. The next year we are the #1 seed and had to go to Kingsville. ESU ended up losing to TAMU-Kingsville 71-69 in front of 2700 and had to play the last five minutes without a scoreboard. But that was a "Championship Environment".

Interesting side fact the Lady Hornets have eliminated the regional host team six times since 2005, twice defeating the #1 ranked team in the nation in the process.

Sorry for the rant. Just suffering a little withdrawal from lack of March basketball.

The fact that this is the first time that either Emporia or UCM did not have a team in the semi's is mind boggling. Truly speaks to what the expectation is for both of those schools. Even though the Jennies lost, I seem to recall a very good UCM team lose in the first round then went on a championship run. Hope the jennies can match that feat.

Dominating performance by Wahburn, 77-53 over Fort Hays. Better look out for this team if they make the regional. Northern State better hope they don't play this team in the 1st round. If the officials don't call the game too tight, Washburn could knock off Northern State.

NW held UCO to 16 pts in the 1st half.
Unfortunately UCO held NW to 26 pts in a tough physical defensive struggle.

NW is built for a defensive slugfest. The Bearcats are just so efficient on offense. 26 points on 26 possessions while UCO has 16 points on 27 possessions.

Hearing this NW broadcast say that Northwests 2nd string is better than most teams 1st team about made me throw up. Dude, it was an eight point win. Not judging you all the fans on here, just those two doing the broadcast, right up there with NDSU Bison coverage, wow, haha

I didn't listen to the game, but that doesn't sound like something the Northwest broadcast crew would say.
