If neccessary, the MIAA will apply its Weighted Index Formula to adjust the women's basketball standings in the final weeks leading up to the 2021 MIAA Basketball Tournament.

Yesterday had a big upset in Northeastern beating FHSU plus a little bit of an upset of Rogers over Wash.
Tonight Emporia hosts NW in what could be a interesting game.

Later in the week includes the opportunity for several good games as well with:
Mo West at MoSo - Thursday
    NW at Pitt - Thurs
Saturday those two games flip plus a rematch of the upset yesterday as FHSU hosts Northeastern.

That is now 3 wins over ranked teams this year. If we hold serve versus NW, we should finally be ranked in the top 25.

Washburn @ Northwest on Saturday is a big one for both of those teams too as far as seeding goes. To be fair, the next 2 games (Emporia State and Washburn) are really big for NW since they get to finish with UNK and FHSU.

Still an opportunity for a lot of seeding moves from several teams. Makes the last 4/5 games of the season even more exciting. The log jam with NW/Pitt/UCO will be interesting too. Washburn is right above them because they have one less loss and have one less game...could make it a 4 team log jam. Pitt has MoSo twice this week road/home then away at Emporia and Newman. ESU is hard to figure out...they're talented, but haven't really looked very interested in playing...Jobe is fighting an ankle injury, that certainly doesn't help, but she hasn't looked like her old self even before her injury.

I'll get to catch the Thursday game at NW...headed to Joplin in a while for tonight's Pitt/MoSo game...really need to split with MoSo this week to have a chance to move up to that 6th spot...hoping to avoid the UCO game in the 1st round of the MIAA Tournament...don't match up well with them at all.

Lots of good teams in this conference. However, Austin has done an impressive job with NW. Their 16 wins are the most in the program since the team went to the Final 4 in the 2010-11 season.
