  • New Day for Mules Men's Basketball

Coach K resigned today so the hunt is on for a new head coach.

That's good news, but about five years past due. So now the attention must first turn back to the hunt for a new AD. What's happening on that front?

Thank you Coach K. The question is why was he allowed so many unproductive years and was he told to resign or be fired. No idea who would want the job

Just read the news on the website 9 years and still beating his chest over how many wins he had as a first year coach of the mules. Any jr high coach could have won with that team. How about Matt Brown from SFCC won loss record is not the greatest but coached at UMKC so probably has some good recruiting ties. Possibly could get better players at UCM

This season is just a continuation of the many failed seasons for coach K. Why did (AD) Jerry Hughes never fire this guy? Maybe someone in the athletic dept knows the answer, but it's certainly a mystery to everybody else. Before we deal with the coaching issue, the selection of the right AD is now front and center. Are they going to interview several AD candidates' or is all of this just a smoke screen and in two weeks (or less) they will just hand the job to Kathy Anderson (my concern).

The best year coach K had was the year after coach Anderson won the national championship and then went to Mizzou. Sorry coach K, but you don't get credit for winning with coach Anderson's players.

Resignation or firing had to happen. The play at the end of the season was horrendous.
