I didn't watch bit it has completely bottomed out. I mean, when Meyer came on, NSU was down to 8 guys and one hurt because no one wanted to not play for Olson....so change over is tough...but....this has gotten bad.

My buddy who lives in Aberdeen said that Sather mentioned on the post-game that Ian Smith got another concussion and won't play at St. Cloud. He said he may just be done for the year since it is his third in a short time frame. That could be the end of the Wolves regional hopes. I don't see them winning a quarterfinal matchup without him.

Sounds to me like Ian Smith might want to think about giving up the game entirely.

In reading the handbook I think that in the first scenario Upper Iowa would still get the 2 seed. They would be tied with just Augustana. Here are the first three tie breaking criteria:

a. Head-to-head.
b. Divisional win/loss percentage.
c. Head-to-head competition of descending divisional teams (win/loss record against
teams who finished highest in standings).

If Augie wins they would have a head-to-head split and both would be 11-3 in the division. Then Upper Iowa would win the tie breaker for their sweep of SMSU. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

That sounds correct, since Augie split with SMSU.

Good call. When I initially made my post, I built it out from a twitter post that was only SMSU focused. I kinda just assumed Augie would be ahead.

Sad news about Ian....he has become such a nice player for us. Now he needs to think of his future, not hoops.
