Cleary has to carry his team. Spencer doesn't.

Re: NSIC All-Conference Teams & Awards Announced

I don't have much beef this year about the selections. Seem on point to me. You can make a point that Cleary should be first team but UMC was bad and his numbers are higher because he gets to shoot a lot. Also as a freshman just to make 2nd team is huge.

Likewise , SMSU only got 1 guy. The reality is the stats just aren't there for the other guys due to the system. And frankly, inconsistentcy. Some of our other guys who were close were great for the first half and slowed in the second half. others started slow, and had great second halfs of the season. That's a tip of the cap to our depth and team.

Hard to argue with the 2 SCSU guys or the 3 Northern guys all deserving. Both Kato guys deserving.

        The Wayne kid deserving.

Moorhead got 3 guys all deserving too.

I find it hard to complain.

The one kid who is sorta "nod" pick is Bambanek because Winona was bad this year and he had good not great stats. But he made it the last 2 years and he had a good season and it isn't his fault the situation blew up there while he was a player. I have no beef with him on the team either. He still was over 15 ppg. It's not like he sucked.

if there is ONE real oversight, I'd go with Drew Guebert but it would be a close call.

When you only pick 20 players from 80 starters it is HARD to make it. It is a real honor.
