I'm surprised in this day and age that coaches still use those methods...I've seen this type of stuff with 3 different coaches.

Doesn’t make any sense to me. Some people are so insecure they have to try to assert their dominance. And it’s a true sign of weakness that they don’t understand. Let them throw their tantrum and then, like a 2-year-old, ask them if they’re done. How anyone on that team can respect that is beyond me.

Then you get your Conferences saying they're all about their student-athletes mental wellness...100% BS. It's all lip service.

What's most shocking to me is that they continue to get players. With how much goes into the recruiting circuit these days on the players' end, you would think reputation would get ahead of these coaches in a hurry. Both cases here are effectively first-time head coaches, so that's a little different, but there are still coaches that make a living treating college kids like this.

I think the girls are afraid to say anything if they're still on the team...and if you talk with girls that have left the team, sometimes you can't believe what they say about the situation. I also think they're afraid of saying anything because if word gets out chances are other teams won't want them. That was a big reason my daughter wouldn't say anything. Then when she finally did, when the coach asked her what all had happened...the coach she told about it **** on her. Fed her a line of crap to get her to come back and play then absolutely turned on her in the fall when it was too late to make a move elsewhere.
