But I don’t disagree with you that Margs seemed pretty calm after the explanation so who knows.

There’s actually some hot mic during this sequence in the broadcast and it leaves me even more confused. Just very rare to see a double tech ejection of a player (a first-team guy at that) that early in a game. Can’t remember the last time if ever I’ve seen it in college ball.
What it may have been is that Eagins used the N*** word and the NCAA has instructed officials to not tolerate that at all, even to the point of not using to a teammate. It is a flagrant 2 technical, but there should have only been 2 shots. With everyones reactions after the play, thats what I would assume happen. Especially with Matt's reaction to the description from the official. Just improperly administered.

The pool is the pool, but very few cities guys, which in my thought process are the better official in the pool, do not get asked to go that far very often. They get a lot of guys from northern MN, and those guys are just not very good. And Saturday night was 2 northern guys and a new guy.

I remember there used to be talk of needing to beat the refs also in Wayne because they have a different pool of ref options compared to the Minnesota schools, is it similar up Minot way?

I would like to see what happened or get an explanation on the double tech. It didn't seem like a whole lot was going on for an ejection and however the calling official explained it to Matt, he sure seemed to take it well.

All I can say is that the road goes both ways, and Minot has to make the trip to Mankato/Winona in February. The schedule is about to become much more favorable for the Mavericks. Concordia has a real chance to make a run at the top too.

Couldn’t tell much from a one angle partly obstructed video feed but even the home announcers implied the call could be controversial. But like my high school coach used to say, even if the ref blows one you had a lot of earlier chances to make up for it.

Good luck for Winona getting to play an awful team after last nights meat grinder. And Minot manages to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat again. Hats off to them. Where are the Minot posters? This season should be pulling them out of the weeds.

Stiff competition, I know, but I believe we have a new leader in the race for worst announcer in the NSIC. The St. Cloud State guy has taken whining to new heights. A true master.

I would favor booting St. Cloud from the conference for no other reason than to never have to listen to this jackleg again.

There are consequences when two teams on opposite corners of the conference meet. If WSU joined the GLVC they would still have that problem. Perhaps the NSIC will split one day, with a N. and a S. leagues.
