Im going to need some phot evidence. It SHOULD be filled all the time with how good a facility it is, but after the time we attended and I counted, by hand, 97 people and they announced over 1,000, 3k seems a little wild. Good for them, if true, though

Always good to base it on one experience you had. Ha.Originally posted by NSU4LIFE View Post

Not here to defend any previous numbers (that include season tickets as well) but there was definitely 3k+ there yesterday. Nice crowd. No photos though, unfortunately my head doesn’t usually go to “I should take photos of the crowd to prove the attendance on a message board” 🙂

Hottest team in the Central right now, the Mavs with 10 wins in a row. I didn’t think I’d be typing that this season.
SW on their now annual free fall at the back half of the conference season.
St Cloud keeps winning
The north teams can get some wins again now, and maybe the north winner will finish over 500?
What a weird season

Actually, St. Cloud has 12 straight wins. Augustana has the opportunity the end two double digit winning streaks this weekend (assuming St Cloud gets past Wayne)Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View PostHottest team in the Central right now, the Mavs with 10 wins in a row. Many experiences there, only one hand count however.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View Post

Like I said, great if they finally got people in there, ive just never seen a big crowd in the beautiful facility.

I’d guess the crowd against Winona will be on the smaller side (last home game) since it’ll be a Thursday night. If the women end up hosting the regional, their games will be very well attended. Likely 2500+Originally posted by NSU4LIFE View Post

Sounds like Saturday was the highest attended D2 women’s game this season.

Certainly frustrating....Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View PostSW on their now annual free fall at the back half of the conference season.
But wild that of our 9 losses this season, 5 of them are by 3 points or less. We are right there most every night....could be a scary matchup come conference tournament time.

Couple of interesting games this afternoon:
St. Cloud State at Augustana
Did the day in between games extinguish the fire that was Sam Rensch on Thursday? Will Augie knock down 3s at a high rate? St Cloud doesn’t stand out much anywhere, except rebounding and their record. And that’s what counts most...wins. They somehow win, and keep doing it. Rebounding will be a big key to this game, winner of the boards may ultimately decide the winner of the game. St Cloud has a +6.5 rebound margin over Augie in conference games. Ferguson will get his points and assists, and Winkel is likely to bounce back after an off night against Wayne. Should be a good one
Concordia-St. Paul at Southwest Minnesota State
I’d normally give the nod to the Mustangs on this one, but this group seems to struggle as the season gets deeper. Whoever dictates the pace of the game will likely come out ahead.
#1/#2 and #3/#4 in the conference meet up for an NSIC love fest. Further down, on the undercard is #5/#6 with MSU at Wayne. Far less exciting game than the St Cloud/Augie game, but it’s an important positional game.Last edited by Purple Mav Man; 02-14-2026, 12:00 PM.

St Cloud did a fantasic job denying/defending Tam in the first matchup with Ramlall being especially disruptive. I would love to see more aggression from whomever breaks the trap/press for Augie because most teams are not set on the back end if the inital pressure is broken.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View PostCouple of interesting games this afternoon:

Augie will have to gang rebound to finish posessions, Hawks caused some havoc earlier this season and must be accounted for on each miss.
Theyre honoring the 10 year anniversary of the 2016 National Champions at halftime, its 1 vs 2 in the league, this is all you can ask out of a mid February showdown.

I mean, sure if you don't think a Top-15/20 defense in Division II qualifies as "stand-out" -- 13th in defensive efficiency and 23rd in scoring D.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View PostSt Cloud doesn’t stand out much anywhere, except rebounding and their record. some of that is sickness and having guys missing so maybe that will correct itself here down the home stretch
