The PI is supposedly only one crterion of many used by the committee. It does a fairly good job of forecasting the selections.

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I know the criteria changes a little every year. Thanks for answering.

They are eligible for GLIAC Tournament. Not NCAA Tournament, though.

Their women's team was the #8 seed in last season's GLIAC Tourney.

Just like every year, for the most part, we have the talent, just not the coaching staff to get us to the next level.

Some significant and interesting games in the region last night. Truman beating Lewis at home is huge. Surprised by NMU losing to Wayne State and Jewell over Drury. Davenport continues to surprise with a win over LSSU. Ferris with a good win over GVSU. Not surprisingly, BU and Ashland won.

Future GLVC member Lindenwood absolutely mauled #25 Missouri Southern last night in out of region action. Lindenwood is going to be a strong addition to the league.

Can't count them out yet (although your lack of confidence is quite understandable.) Their four losses are to quality teams (King being the weakest) and they have a couple of big wins still. Lack a true road victory over a quality opponent, although the way Maryville played over the weekend, that could count by the end if they continue to play like that. A road victory over Indy or Lewis and no more clunkers against low quality opponents(big if, I know) and USI is back in the top 6.

Keep "woe is me"-ing it, but if you look closely, Truman and Ferris State already have six regional losses each (I would argue the committee should look more closely at Truman, since four of those came without their best player, Brodric Thomas, in the first four games of the year - three against teams that are going to make the NCAA tournament, but I digress), and Davenport isn't eligible, so being in the "upper middle" of the region isn't as punishing this year as perhaps it has been in years past. We just don't have the glut of top-tier teams, largely because of the GLIAC appearing to be a little bit less top heavy than in years past.
