The St. Louis Post-Dispatch today had an article that more than 1,000 Division I men's BB players are already in the portal. That's more than 20% of all of the scholarship-holding players at that level.

This whole offseason will be bananas.

I'm wondering if the GLVC will follow the NCAA transfer rule this year and allow transfers within the conference to play immediately?

Also, what is the basketball signing date this season?

And... TSU Mike, where did you get the info for the women transfers?

List is updated again. Several new names, including a mass exodus from Ohio Valley.
Three Drury names are removed from the transfer portal, I switched them to smaller font. (Is strikethrough an option any more on here?)

Ohio Valley is dropping to NAIA so I'm not surprised to see some go. Also not surprised about Teague leaving KWC. He redshirted last year and only played 4 minutes in 3 games this year. KWC dressed 17 players this year and 5 hardly played at all. I would expect to see more leave IF basketball is why they are in college. I'm a little more surprised about Dixon. He had a good freshman year and had to redshirt his sophomore year. However he played double digit minutes in only 4 games last year so he may not feel he was not going to get the playing time he wanted.

KWC has been a bit of a revolving door under Cooper...

            1st year:
            Goetz - Graduated
            Abu Arisha - Graduated
            Mayot - Transfer
            Godwin (Fr.) - Transfer
            Hopewell - Graduated
            Bezold - Graduated
            Cartwright (Fr.) - Still there
            Dixon (Fr.) - Transfer
            Seaton (Fr.) - Transfer
            Fort (Fr.) - Transfer
            Urkis (Fr.) - Transfer
            Boyle (Fr.) - Still there

            2nd year:
            Battaile - Still there
            Griffin - Graduated
            Currie - Graduated
            Sukhanov - Still there
            Sisson (Fr.) - Still there
            Smith - Graduated
            Gilmer - Graduated

            last year:
            Locket - Still there
            Mitchell (Fr.) - Still there
            Wilson - Graduated
            Cobbs - Graduated
            Morrisson (Fr.) - Still there
            Brewer - Still there
            Murrell (Fr.) - Still there

            26 recruits in 3 years - 10 graduated, 10 still there, and 6 transferred

Battaile will be a senior this coming year so he should be "still there"

I finally find some updates on Drury transfers from Verbal Commits and etc.

*Jason Montgomery will play for D1 Lipscomb University. He thanked Drury for "Developing him"

*Conley Garrison has recieved interest from Drake, Loyola Chicago, The University of Southern Illinois & Bradley among others so far.

*Drury has signed 2 transfer brothers, Dalton Gayman from Arkansas Fort Smith and Clay Gayman from D1 Abilene Christian. Will update later.

                *partial update*
                https://youtu.be/E7QrySBVwY8
Video is of Clay Gayman. He was the 4th leading scorer this season on a very good Abilene Christian team that had an upset win over Texas in the NCAA Tournament in which he scored 9 points. I believe he has two seasons of eligibility left.

I have so much free time lately (sigh and ahhh) that I can get deep into the Twitter world to find information that Verbal Commits doesn't have yet. The GLVC is likely to have several D1 transfers next season. The latest not listed on VC yet is a transfer from Creighton offered by Jewell.

I think the Covid situation has been a factor in some player decisions to transfer closer to home. I'm not sure if this is the case in the recent additions at Drury, but these brothers are much closer to home now.

With the Drury returning players and the recent additions, The dunks (not that this is important) WILL happen at a much faster rate.

I'm excited for Drury and the league.

Looks like Conley Garrison is headed to D1 Furman. Probably his best bet from offers recieved for playing time. Of the three players leaving, they all said good things about their Drury experience.

Drury fans will be glad to know these Gayman brothers have some lofty goals. "To knock Northwest off the top spot".

                        https://twitter.com/i/status/1383254011076235267

I predict there will be a lot of late signees this season as some won't get the D1 shot they had hoped for.

Creighton transfer Nic Zeil was offered by William Jewell on April 13th. As far as I can tell, he has no other offers.

West Liberty looks like they have snatched a few of these players. Drury, Walsh, and USI pick up some others.

Hey Schnautzy, Is this list you're commenting on a recent one? I've noticed Verbal Commits is running about a week behind at least when compared to the Twitter tweeters.

Heard a personal report this afternoon of a possible big recruit for the Lady Panthers in the works as they are seriously seeking a National Championship.

Chris Foster reported during his meet and greet last week that he isn't done recruiting for the upcoming season either.

I'm using VC as linked in my original post. I don't have twitter but don't doubt it's probably a step ahead.
