BTW - apparently divisional trophies are a thing:
I'm cool with it (not for football - but for sports that might have 8 or 9 schools in a division). Again, something else we couldn't have even dreamed about discussing a few months ago.

BTW - 16 versus 17 is a wonderful debate to be having.

Re: G-MAC All-Sports and Conference Business Thread
Just perused around the board a bit. Looks like the Tiffin (and maybe Ashland) news made its way to a couple different conference threads. Lots of opinion and analysis, but I don't see any new info out there. I checked the website a couple times today - still just Tiffin. That said, I don't doubt Mr. Elliot one bit.
A couple posters out there seem to think that the G-MAC has one spot to fill (bringing it to 16). I always kind of assumed they might go to 17 (with 16 having men's sports). However, I do concede that it might be easier to balance 15 teams on the men's side (3 groups of 5 maybe?) than 17 teams on the women's side. The PSAC has 18 - and that has seemed to work for them. However, a big conference does limit the number of times your students get to hoist a trophy - so there is that (divisional trophies maybe?)
Anyhoo.....

Just going by the ADs tone, you could sense that when he talks about the conference, he comes across as genuine and excited about it. That's how I take it anyway

While most of us think that the GSC may be a better fit, remember that TNU didn't get a GSC invite when they transitioned to D2. That's how they ended up in the G-MAC. That may not have changed.

Ashland
Of course, he could have just been counting Hillsdale as an OH school (He's a southerner)
