Ahh Heck, let's just go with 20... Two divisions of 10 or 4 pods of 5. :)

BTW - apparently divisional trophies are a thing:

I'm cool with it (not for football - but for sports that might have 8 or 9 schools in a division). Again, something else we couldn't have even dreamed about discussing a few months ago.

Just perused around the board a bit. Looks like the Tiffin (and maybe Ashland) news made its way to a couple different conference threads. Lots of opinion and analysis, but I don't see any new info out there. I checked the website a couple times today - still just Tiffin. That said, I don't doubt Mr. Elliot one bit.

A couple posters out there seem to think that the G-MAC has one spot to fill (bringing it to 16). I always kind of assumed they might go to 17 (with 16 having men's sports). However, I do concede that it might be easier to balance 15 teams on the men's side (3 groups of 5 maybe?) than 17 teams on the women's side. The PSAC has 18 - and that has seemed to work for them. However, a big conference does limit the number of times your students get to hoist a trophy - so there is that (divisional trophies maybe?)

    Anyhoo.....

While most of us think that the GSC may be a better fit, remember that TNU didn't get a GSC invite when they transitioned to D2. That's how they ended up in the G-MAC. That may not have changed.

Interesting. I can see what he means about TNU being on the fringe of any conference, whether it's the G-MAC or the GSC. At the same time, TNU's nearest rival in either conference would be two hours away (Kentucky Wesleyan in the G-MAC; Alabama-Huntsville in the GSC). TNU's second-closest rival in the G-MAC is Cedarville (5 1/2 hours); Union and Lee are both within 2 1/2 hours from Nashville. I'm sure the athletic staff at TNU took that into consideration, but I'm sure G-MAC fans appreciate the committment TNU is making to maintaining the growth and success of the league.

Has anyone heard or read on here about any possible movement in the GLVC?

Wouldn't mind them coming on board if we couldn't get the IN/KY schools.

In my mind yes of course. But as my wife tells me I am usually wrong. It would make for a very nice little west/SW pocket of UINDY, BU, KWC and TVN in basketball for sure. I think UF would love facing them as well on the hardwood!

Of course, he could have just been counting Hillsdale as an OH school (He's a southerner)
I was literally doing the math just now as well trying to find that mysterious 10th team !!!! I think he just miscounted. I felt the AD on the show was very honest about wanting to stay in the GMAC which is nice
