They are at Roosters on Preston every Tuesday at 7 in Jan. Feb they move to the Clarksville location. Looks like the Weyer/Chitty appearance worked. Both played with a lot more confidence last night.

Great game by BU after getting hit in the mouth early. As I was afraid, when Bellarmine turned up the heat defensively we stopped running real offense and tried to do too much 1 on 1, and the scoreboard pressure from their offensive runs made it worse.

Hope we get another shot some point this season in a different venue. On to Indy...2 out of 3 at Truman, at Bellarmine, at Indy would still be a great road trip.

Drury has talent, but Knights Hall is a tough place to win - 53 straight home wins for the Knights.

I did think that BU's length was a big factor. In Eberhard and Cook, BU has a couple of long players who are capable of guarding smaller players on the perimeter. If Corbett continues his improved mobility, he will also be able to guard smaller players. The team is very flexible with the ability to go big or small. My biggest concern for BU defensively is guarding true power under the basket. There is not a lot of that in the league, however.

Agree with you that 2 out 3 for Drury will be a very successful road swing. Indy is the biggest mystery in the league. They really should be better than what their results have been. I think Indy is probably the biggest team in the league, considering strength and length.

Good team victory, very balanced attack, good to see Weyer And Chitty play with confidence, BU needs those two to play well and for Cook to stay out of first half foul trouble to go far this season.
BTW the are some real wack jobs over on the USI thread.

The length is a factor, but even more than that it's the team defense and how quickly the help is there and the rotation afterward.

It sure is especially when the home team shoots 13 free throws and the opposition zero in the first half. Lol!

Bellarmine got called for 5 more fouls than USI did in that game and the only player to foul out was a starter for Bellarmine. Give it a break.

I am talking about your game last night. Lol! I love it when so called fans don't have the slightest idea about their own team. But that seems to be a common trend on this board. Lol!

The idea that simply looking at the number of fouls called and determing that there is bias by the referees against the team with more fouls called is the epitome of ignorance and excuse making. If you look at Bellarmine statistics for this year and every year that Scotty has been the coach, you will see that their opponent almost always committs more fouls than Bellarmine commits. Home or road. It is one of the many things that makes Bellarmine a good team.

I would not expect any objective reasoning from a person who thinks a player should not be ejected for wrapping his arm around the neck of an opponent and intentionally throwing him to the ground.

Seems like you just admitted to my premise. Lol! And still riding with the Undertaker choke slam theme? Just wow! Lol!

No sh*t genius. I understand you were talking about the game last night. But we've been hearing for a week how the refs screwed USI at Bellarmine. If your premise is that the amount of free throws shot prooves home-cooking by the refs, then what does it say about your game where Bellarmine got called for MORE fouls than USI?

I know you're working with limited resources, but try to keep up.

I think Drury and USI are talented teams. They were both unlucky to have to come to Knights Hall just after BU had their worst game of the year in Parkside. They should fare better in a rematch later in the year away from Louisville (however, they better hope for a different venue in the regional!)
