Potential future 16th RMAC member (non-football)

Update regarding Utah State University Eastern inquiry. The committee discussed an inquiry from Utah State University Eastern regarding the institution’s potential interest in becoming an NCAA Division II member. During its discussion, the committee determined that additional information and clarity is necessary regarding the structure of the institution. As a result, the committee agreed to table its discussion and review the additional information during its February 10, 2026, videoconference.

USU Eastern is currently in the NJCAA and sponsors just 7 sports that overlap with D2: basketball (m/w), baseball, softball, soccer (m/w), and volleyball (w). So they'd need to add at least 3 sports (notably, they have no individual sports that the NCAA sanctions). They're located in Price, 75 miles southeast of Provo, and one can only assume that if they went D2 they'd be Westminster's travel partner in the RMAC (which has been at 15 schools ever since Dixie State/Utah Tech left in 2020).

Regis Athletics in Denver is on life support due to massive cuts the last couple of years. MBB had to forfeit a league game it's that big of a mess & check all their teams results this year. So, USUE can come aboard but the RMAC will still be at 15.
