A group in Little Rock took over the Harlon Hill Ceremony, thats as central as it can get in Arkansas. Wonder if they bid on the game? https://www.timesdaily.com/sports/ha...2a8083ac2.html

Is it possible to put in an FOIA request to the NCAA about this? That might just take longer than waiting for the news to eventually come out, though, I guess.

NCAA is a private entity. FOIA requests are specific to the federal government--or state governments that have a FOIA statute.

I heard a group from Atlanta put in a bid to host using Georgia State's field (formally Turner Field).. Division UWG being host school.

Yeah, at least give us a couple of options to complain about and whine about how location X didn't put in a bid.

Wondering if War Memorial in Little Rock got it? I mean your talking a stadium that can hold 55,000. Would be a nice venue. I have heard complaints about how small the locker rooms are, but they could work around that. ESPN has broadcasted from this place before.

WM Stadium is on the larger side for what I would think is ideal for the D2NC game but otherwise it checks the boxes. The UofA and LR extended their agreement to play at the stadium through 2024 with one SEC conference game being played on the odd years and the spring game being played on the even years. They also agreed on some stadium renovations to be made prior to the 2019 game (replacing playing surface, upgraded broadcasting network, concession stands, locker rooms).

I would think the city of LR would be looking for ways to bring revenue to the city, especially after stadium upgrades and the fact that the off years for hosting Razorback games it will pretty much sit empty for most of the fall, minus hosting the HS state championship games.

It's larger yes, but I'm sure they are trying everything they can to get it to come to Little Rock. War Memorial is not a bad venue. Just needs events there.

I think they would be crazy not to be making a hard push for it. Whether they get it or not is a different story.

I could totally see them playing the game some where in Texas though.
