No, although John Brown's last college game was against the Mustangs - albeit that's a hard pill to swallow.

In fact, I don't think anyone from my alma mater has ever made an NFL regular season roster, to my knowledge anyway. We do have two draft picks though.

Zach Moore must have been dropped. He's been in the NFL since 2014. I was surprised to see his name missing.

Unfortunately, Brandon Fusco (SRU) is currently a FA after some years with Minnesota and Atlanta. No luck on getting a new deal.

He signed a 3 year deal last year and was released earlier this year - what happened there?

Very proud that CAL U (4) is second only to W ALABAMA (5) on this list. The notably small numbers from D2 powerhouses shows that the winning formula at this level is having deep and talented college players not necessarily pro level talent. I think that some teams and GMs are taking notice that a lot of D2 players are willing to work much harder to achieve a dream that a lot of D1 players feel entitled to.
Revised list boosts WEST GEORGIA and FERRIS STATE into tie for #1. Congrats to them !!!

I believe injury, he was a big part of Minnesota's offense line during their run so that got him his second contract.

Great point. There are a ton of UDFA's that make an impact. Football is the only sport where players at any level have a chance to not only make it but actually have a career in the league.

This is just my opinion - but a guy really has to love football to play at this level. I think that's worth something, even if it doesn't always translate into on-field production.

I wish him the best of luck. The more D2 guys in the league, the more everyone benefits, IMO.

I agree. It'll least get scouts to entertain the idea of watching out for guys at the DII level and have the players excited and motivated to work toward the NFL level and not feel like it's a pipe dream which benefits everyone and allows for some D1 guys who are interested can also transfer down and still make it.

Exactly. Might even boost attendance in some scenarios. More visability is a good thing.
