The entire point of all this is that we don't get to the point that 10,000+ people are needlessly dying. I don't know enough about epidemiology to criticize the response to H1N1 or swine flu, but when we see just how quickly this got out of hand in Italy, it makes sense that we'd be shutting down everything that isn't absolutely essential.

Ah, just let it rest. We can all survive until next season by missing a few games and championships. Definitely not worth the risk to the older parents, grandparents etc. I've decided to let go of my own greed of needing to be entertained on behalf of the health of others. There will be better days ahead!

There was a UND fan thinking that they should put up a banner for hockey. A Mav fan reminded them who beat UND head to head. These mythical projections are so ridiculous!

Gee, I guess I better not proclaim Northwest Men's BB as repeating NC in D2. Some fans at Northern State might have something to say about that.

Here is a link to St Joe News Press interview with NW Coach McCollum following the NCAA announcement to cancel. https://www.newspressnow.com/sports/...72d1a7be4.html

That, and social media wasn't nearly as developed in 08-09 as it is today.

The fear and panic is traveling lightning fast.

They closed their remaining temporary hospitals. That's a good sign.
