There are a few schools that go by a color. Alabama, Harvard, North Texas, Stanford, and Syracuse are ones I can think of off the top of my head.

In the area where I grew up (Lehigh Valley, aka Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area in east central Pennsylvania), the larger of the two public high schools in Allentown, William Allen (usually just called "Allen"), has the nickname "Canaries".
