Keep your guard up. With warm weather and being outside among teammates, its easy to forget about precautions. Remember to mask during team carpools and in locker rooms and other enclosed spaces.Last edited by crixus; 03-25-2021, 03:38 AM.

The Northwoods League has announced the addition of the Minnesota Mud Puppies - a road-only "proxy"-type team intended to fill the holes of Thunder Bay's absence on the schedule.
NWL Adds Minnesota Mud Puppies for 2021 - Northwoods League : Northwoods League
Looks like the roster will be made up of local college players from the Twin Cities - which should be interesting. They will not have a home field and will play exclusively on the road. The team won't be eligible for the playoffs, but the players will be eligible for all of the other stuff - like the All-Star Game and Major League Showcase.
I guess it's too short of notice, but it'd be cool if they stuck them in some town that doesn't have a team already for the summer. There are plenty of ballparks in the Upper Midwest that could house them. That being said, it's cool to see more players get an opportunity to play this summer.

Just saw this on Twitter. NCAA said that there would be no replacement teams so BC gets a bye into the regional finals.
BREAKING: CHN has learned that Notre Dame is out of the NCAA Tournament due to COVID protocols.

I liked the pod idea given the circumstances. There wasn't a real playoff structure last season because of it, but at least those guys got to play. Radatz seems like a pretty hard-nosed businessman, so I figured he wouldn't let the league sit idle without a fight. Their ability to maneuver on the fly like this is really impressive.

Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams is getting an up-close look at the mess he has on his hands. Adams stepped in as head coach Thursday night against Pittsburgh after interim coach Don Granato and assistant Matt Ellis were placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, the latest strange turn for the league's worst team.

Mar. 27The Michigan hockey team hadn't had a positive COVID-19 test result since mid-July. Not one throughout the fall or the winter, as the entire athletic department dealt with shutdowns and game cancellations, as the coronavirus had its way with Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County. Then came Tuesday, when a Michigan player tested positive, and was subsequently left behind as the team traveled ...

Definitely a sad situation. Those students have almost no time to prepare.

Regarding Baylor Coach Kim Mulkey's comments.
Chalk it up to sour grapes. It turns out no one even asked her about Covid-19 protocol in the post game interview. It was idiotic antics from a coach who can't deal with losing and she obviously doesn't take the pandemic seriously. So she's selfish as well as being a poor sport.
